According to the “Growing Business Online” magazine, of the UK’s millionaires under the age of 45 there are more women than men and within the next 10 years, 55% of the world’s wealth will be concentrated in the hands of women.
The elusive Women Business Angel can bring unique qualities to the business angel world. Let’s face it, they are great at multi tasking. They are happy to work within a team and are supportive and giving to others. If a woman is successful she does not rest on her laurels she sets out to help others.
So what is a woman business angel?
She is a supportive investor who lends her money, experience and talent to the businesses she invests in.
Gone are the days when an investor would just hand over the cheque then walk away for a few years. Investors generally want to be involved and a savvy entrepreneur would be crazy not to take advantage of their investor’s expertise and contacts.
Of-course, women business angels want to make money so they will not only invest in entirely women-owned businesses; they’re going to be looking at all sorts of investments. But some women owned businesses are specifically suited to the female market and a woman business angel will understand the sector more than their male counterpart.
